Kristen & Mike are the result of when Coffee Meets Bagel. I knew their story was going to be special when I found out that a dating app turned into two people finding the one to spend the rest of their lives with.!
Another special part of their story was having a wedding during CoVid19. It was a lot of work leading up to their big day, but in the end we tried our best to make Kristen & Mike’s wedding memorable AND a good/safe time for everyone attending! Thankfully, we had some great tips to use.
According to Kristen sister’s toast, Kristen is a fan of Disney Princesses, specifically Sleeping Beauty (she loves her beauty rest!). Well, that day Kristen was transformed into a real life Princess courtesy of Laura Reynolds Artistry styling her makeup and hair topped with an ever elegant yet simple crown. No princess wedding is complete without a gorgeous ball gown which Kristen found at Bridal Gallery Orlando. And her prince, Mike, was dressed head to toe in a light gray three piece suit provided by Generational Tux.
The Luxmore Grande Estate, located in Orlando, Fl, was the perfect venue for Kristen & Mike’s BIG Day!
Have you seen their double winding staircase as you first enter?.. I mean come on! *insert eye heart emoji*. Truly fit for a King and Queen!
RJ Glamour enhanced the already gorgeous venue with tons of floral . The wedding colors were pink and gray/silver. The space was filled with big vibrant pink roses, garden roses, hydrangeas and lots and lots of greenery! RJ Glamour provided tall and short centerpieces for the guests tables. My favorite floral piece was a tie between Kristen’s bridal bouquet and the floral piece that adorned their ceremonial cross. Which were then repurposed for the sweetheart table!
In the end, Kristen & Mike ended with about 50 guests. For months we watched the updates and news about how many guests would be allowed. With no time for invitations, personal calls and emails had to be made. Many of the guest list couldn’t attend since they lived out of state. However, there was a solution for that! Kristen & Mike had a great videographer team through Love and Lustre Weddings to capture all the details from beginning to end. In addition, OMarvelous Productions provided a live stream option with a private YouTube and Facebook group link for guests who were not able to attend to watch the ceremony. They provided wireless cameras in multiple points of the room. So long distance guests had a true movie experience of the ceremony!
It happens when there isn’t a pandemic happening. But right it will happen even more since guests are in fear of being exposed or just finding out that they were exposed to CoVid19 and do not want to attend for safety reasons. Thankfully, Luxmore Grande Estate provided enough space to help keep in line with social distancing, Tables were set six feet apart. And families and friends that arrived together, sat together at dinner to avoid unnecessary cross-contact.
Kristen and Mike also went with the plated option by Big City Catering to help maintain food and beverage protocols during CoViD.
When dinner was over, White Rose Entertainment was ready with the tunes! But I know what you are thinking, “Can I really have ‘open dancing’? How would I be able to control it?”
Short answer: you can’t.
You can keep the formalities such as First Dance, Father-Daughter Dance (Kristen & her dad…ugh the tears), etc. But you also don’t have to. People that feel comfortable to dance will and those who don’t-wont.
Last Tip of The Day: It’s okay to end the reception early. Instead of having two hours dedicated to dancing, make it 30-45 minutes. Enough for people to mingle if they want and dance off some calories!
Despite all of the adjustments that had to be made in order for this wedding to happen, there is one thing that CoViD19 couldn’t take away: the pure love and joy Kristen and Mike have for each other.
Their photographer, Paul F. Gero, captured everything perfectly! You can feel their love for each other, their friends and families who were all present.
See for yourself!
