Weddings are meant to be personalized. Anything you can do to make the wedding look and feel more like you will make you happier and your guests comfortable. Walk with me down memory lane as we see how Beverly and Les turned Legacy at Oak Meadows into their hidden escape for the day.
Legacy at Oak Meadows is a hidden farm in Pierson, Florida. The barn ballroom is elegantly upscale and perfect to personalize just how you want it to be. From their open space loft to the crystal chandeliers, nothing is impossible in this venue.
Your wedding details need to be set up on your wedding day to tell your story. And the best way to do this is by communicating with your wedding planner. Share everything! From the custom Jenga guest book to personalized favors to even a ram’s horn for special toasts. The better you relay information to your wedding planner, the more she can detail your wedding and allow the photographer to capture the moment you imagined.
Your wedding details come to life in the photographs. Beverly and Les made their wedding details all about them and their children. Since there was no wedding party, everything had to be organized and set aside for the wedding planner to set how you want.
Beverly’s son, Jon, walked her down the aisle. Les had his young sons as his groomsmen. Inside the ballroom, the couple provided four fan favorites for guests to take with them. Each was listed as a “family fav” – Jon’s favorite chocolate chip cookie; Tyler’s favorite candies; Cody’s popcorn favorite; and Beverly & Les’s favorite IBC Root Beer.
The couple was able to see all these details in place during their private viewing of the ballroom while all the guests were in the Gather Kitchen at cocktail hour. We slid the ballroom doors open and they could see the full ballroom. Drapery from the chandeliers, greenery & roses lining each table, and a settee in the front corner to give guests an extra lounge area.
The table for the cake was an antique white-washed desk that was lined with greenery and a small arrangement. The all-white coconut cake was centered around flavorful shooters for dessert. Because Beverly wanted the most impact from ceremony to reception, we repurposed the ceremony florals and used them in front of the cake table and sweetheart table. The other ceremony arrangements were placed in the lounge area and the bar.
After dinner was complete, Beverly danced with each of her gentlemen. It started with Tyler & Cody’s dance to Elvis Shane’s song My Boy. She then moved to dancing to This I Promise You by *Nsync to dance with her son Jon.
Nothing tops the moment the new family of five danced together hand in hand before open dancing for everyone began. Maybe the moment Jon wanted to take Beverly back from Les was a close second, but boys will be boys.
Whether you want your wedding details photographed in a high level of detail or you only want to personalize the colors and the flowers, the option is truly up to you. Your wedding should extend beyond what you see on Pinterest and into the imagination of your wedding planner to create a feeling that everyone will remember long after the photos are back.
