February is a month where we celebrate Black History and the impact it has made on current and future generations. The impact of Black History is birthed from the individual people that have pushed the envelope and open doors for the next generation.
I personally want to celebrate Black History Month, by highlighting black-owned businesses in the event industry! Local businesses and beyond. I’ve personally worked with a few of the ones highlighted below and followed the rest closely… I love celebrating businesses that strive for excellence, innovation and opening doors for the next generation-like me!..#BlackExcellence

Munaluchi Bride is the leading multicultural wedding publication catering to women of color! It is the combination of two African names, which when fused together mean, “Beautiful Work of God“…
Jacqueline never saw a bridal magazine for black women and so she decided (together with her husband) to start one. In 2020, Munaluchi Bride was established. Munaluchi’s mission is to promote positive images of women of color, because they believe positive imagery is the threshold for confidence…and confidence inspires self love. They aspire to inspire.
Over the years Munaluchi has grown into so much more: MunaMommy, Coterie Retreat, MunaLove Affair.

If you want to cry every time you press play, meet KEJ Productions!
Husband + wife duo behind the cameras, KEJ started with a GoPro and a dream anniversary trip to Thailand. Recognized for delivering films that artistically and authentically reflect the heart of the wedding day and the couple’s unique love story. With each film, they aim to know each couple and their story intimately before the wedding day. That way Kaleb & Elaine are able to reflect the individuality of who the couple are and the people around them in film. I personally have watched most of their videos and cried at 99% of them!
Besides capturing one of the best moments of a couples life, they are consistently sharing tips and tricks for current videographers to bring their A-game as well (which hilarious to watch on their Instagram!)
And special shoutout to the better half of this production, Elaine-a fellow Haitian sister!
